If I could travel back in time I would definitely go back to the days where my great grandmother and me would walk to the park and spend time together. My great grandmother was a big part of my childhood. I use to call her yaya for grandmother in Greek. My yaya is the only reason I can speak English now. My mom wanted to send me to an all-Greek speaking school, thank god she didn’t! Id still be in speech classes to this day. She was a great inspiration in my life. Even though she was diagnosed with Alzheimer and mixed up everyone’s names and forgot a lot of stuff she would for some reason always get my name right. She always knew who I was. It made me feel special to her. Id travel back to the days where she was perfectly healthy and happy. I miss those days where we could walk downtown Boston and spend the day being together. I even miss the days she would chase me around the house with a bread roller trying to beat me because I was bad in school or I was talking back to my mom. I miss her and all our memories. If I could travel back in time I would for sure go back to the days with my yaya! I wouldn’t think twice about it. She was the happiest old lady I ever met. That’s where I would go if I could travel back in time.
