My advice to a beginning freshman in high school would be, Don't take high school for granted. Yes you cant wait until your out of school going into college but honestly, high school will determine your future. If you can make good grades in high school, college could practically be free for you. When they say take your free education they really mean it. College isn't cheap and to have to repeat certain classes you took in high school in college for a couple thousand dollars is just stupid. Get good grades. Take AP classes and have a great time. I was one of the athletes everyone knew. I was known for basketball and of course being the class clown. I failed classes simply because I didn't show up to school. I knew everything I needed and passed every quiz and test but I still failed due to attendance. Now I'm stuck at Limestone College when I could of went to Clemson or USC instead. Im paying around 3000 dollars a semester to relearn what I should of learned in high school. Save yourself the money and time. Do good in high school. Have fun but take your free education and put it to good use.
